Burlesque couture, culture and creativity!
Posted on 25 October 2009

When it comes to the fabulous creations of My Delilah, culture is most definitely in the detail.
Owned and run by Janine Jones, My Delilah is where a growing number of burlesque performers go to have created bespoke dresses, corsets, costumes & burlesque accessories.
Janine has extensive training in pattern cutting, design, technique as well as varied background in theatre, tv, circus & film. Her speciality is 1950s style, pin-up dresses, pasties & fascinators, along with sensual, steel-boned corsets all made-to-measure from the most luxurious fabrics & trimmings.
You can see from the gallery below, Janine continues to be inspired by the endless possibilities for costumes in both her designs and her performances. Janine trained as a dancer from a very young age and regularly performs as the burlesque goddess, Sandy Sure.
Her passion for design, detail and culture, first hand knowledge of the necessary elements to create fabulous costumes, offers burlesque dancers, indeed anyone looking for authentic vintage style, something special and quite unique. It is no wonder leading burlesque stars such as Foo Foo La Belle, Cherie Amour are having lots of fun in her creations.

Burlesque Cardiff – dance history and fun
Posted on 22 September 2009
Burlesque Cardiff created another night of fabulous entertainment with their “Little bit of history repeating” revue. The new venue seemed to really work for the audience with special seated and viewing areas, extended stage, sound and lights. The ambitious show included, nine artists, introduced by a very pink and fluffy Lilly Belle, debut from Miss Betty Blue Eyes (left), much fun with Marie Antionette and cake, Cancaneuse with frilly knickers on, possibly the most gorgeous conga ever seen and a live rock and roll dance set to finish from Mojojim & the Muddy Wulfs. Congratulations to Foo Foo and her dance group. Here for your viewing pleasure is all the fun with great shots by Carl DeAbreu.
