With so much interest and media coverage, British blues is on the up and so it seems are South Wales based Mojojim & the Muddy Wulfs who keep delivering electrifying, authentic British Blues sound, scorching live shows to thunderous applause. 

This is a band which knows how to please . Fronted by energetic bluesman Andy Preston, their shows have delighted and exhilarated. No surprise then that the band in No1 in the blues charts for South Wales and has a top schedule of gigs ( Globe, Milkwood Jam) ,  festivals ( Abertillery Blues) appearances as well as supporting legends such as Johnny Winter. All this recruiting new British blues fans each step of the way. Their reputation that has grown over a number of years on the blues scene and last year they began to receive airplay with blues listeners in South Wales treated to their sound with Stormy Monday Blues. The band is to release a new album “Riding with the Wulfs “ in the spring of 2010.  Gigs, album, airplay, all impressive stuff and in less than a year since a change of name to MojoJim & the Muddy Wulfs.

So what’s at the root of all this British Blues passion and feel?? Well, aside from the unstoppable desire to deliver the best british blues live music for their fans, the band is certainly not lacking in pedigree. 

Leading the charge is the aforementioned Andy, a front man known for his contagious energy as much as his playing style, likened to greats such as Peter Green, Freddie King. Andy’s tone loving feel and vocals combine to hit the right buttons and reach out blues fans with songs that have certain blues integrity and feel that many players aspire to.

At the rear we have Noel Watson – the most in demand, experienced drummer, drum tutor in South Wales.10

On the back line we have Rhys Anslow, don’t be fooled by the youthful smile – beneath this unruffled exterior lurks a mature, talented and innovative bassman who alongside Chris Thomas, the most talented keyboard player and vocalist in south wales completes the line up . Mojojim & the Muddy Wulfs have all they need to perform with a dynamic musical chemistry, evident in both songwriting and performance as a three piece or with keyboard, harp players.
